This Agreement is entered into between Medip and the Authors of the Article submitted for publication in any of the Medip journals.

To facilitate the publication of the Article, Authors must provide the Warranty (Section A) and grant permission to publish the submitted Article by executing the Copyright Assignment and Licensing (Section B).


Section (A): Author's Warranty

In consideration of the publication of the Article, I hereby warrant and undertake:

a) That this Article is an original work and has not been published previously. The Article will not be submitted to any other journal for publication while under consideration for publication in any of the Medip journals.

b) That the authors have adhered to the Duties of Authors as outlined in the Publication Ethics & Malpractice Policy set by Medip while preparing the Article.

c) That proper acknowledgment has been given to the source of all material reproduced in the Article for which the Author does not own the copyright.

d) That written permission has been obtained from the copyright holder to reproduce, in the Article (in all media now or later developed, including print and electronic form), all material whose copyright is not owned by the Author. True copies of each such permission obtained are attached to this document.

e) That the Article contains no violation of any existing copyright or other third-party right or any material of an obscene, indecent, libelous, or otherwise unlawful nature. To the best of my knowledge, this Article does not infringe the rights of others.

f) To indemnify and keep indemnified the Editors of Medip against all claims and expenses (including legal costs and fees) arising from any plagiarism complaints, any breach of this warranty, and the other warranties on my behalf in this Agreement.

g) In the case of a multi-authored article, I have obtained copyright assignment from all co-authors in writing, including consent to enter into this Agreement on their behalf and to bind them to it and any modifications of it. All co-authors have read and agreed to the above warranties and undertakings, including the accompanying notes.


Section (B): Copyright Assignment and Licensing

Authors will retain the copyright of their work published by Medip. Authors acknowledge and agree that Medip will publish their work in the subject journal and will be the exclusive "Licensee" of the work. They understand that their article will be published with Open Access and will be freely available to users under the terms of the Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 Creative Commons License (the "CC BY-NC-SA").
